We are looking for an experienced procurement manager for our client in the hospitality industry.

Industry: Hospitality

Area: Franschhoek

Key Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the purchasing and activity covering all product categories in hospitality, estate and farming
  • Analysis of material costs and development of appropriate strategies in support of the whole business
  • Fulfilling the procurement requirements of the whole business and ensure that requirements are met in a timely cost effective manner
  • Ensuring quality standards are met
  • Responsible to work within and processes and develop strategies and procedures necessary to deliver the procurement results
  • Focus on quality, service delivery and competitive prices from the supply market
  • Assist in the definition, development and implementation of best practices within the procurement department
  • Continuously review the operational procedures, recommending improvement while planning and streamlining the operation
  • Develop purchase price, cost and supply chain analysis for major categories on expenditure
  • Conduct tender analysis of suppliers, product quality and purchase contracts
  • Conduct effective price negotiations with suppliers

Minimum Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualification in Procurement Management or similar discipline
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of POS and NAV systems
  • Advanced numerical, negotiation and management skills
  • Ability work on a roster if the need arises due to operational requirement
