Reporting to the GB CRB Head of Finance FD, the Facultative FBP will actively participate in the leadership of GB Facultative within Willis Towers Watson GB alongside the GB Head of Facultative, while supporting the Global Facultative Head.

The Role

The Facultative FBP will assist in the delivery of the GB Facultative objectives ensuring robust financial control and business analysis, acting as a link between the Willis Towers Watson GB Finance team. They will be responsible for the delivery of the core financial strategic and business planning, reporting and forecasting processes while ensuring the Facultative business unit has a robust plan to achieve its objectives. They will also play a key role in the GB annual incentives. The Facultative FBP will also be responsible for supporting the Global Head of Facultative and Facultative Head of Strategy in coordinating the business planning, reporting, forecasting and budgeting processes globally, liasing with the regional financial teams.

The role requires relevant technical accounting knowledge, a strong control and change focus, a strategic mind-set, people management, influencing and networking skills, and the ability to work in a matrix managed organisation. The role requires being comfortable with dealing with conflict and managing a variety of individuals, seniority and personalities. A key part of the role is to provide challenge and to deliver accurate results in a demanding environment.

The Facultative FBP will build strong relationships and a deep understanding of the business and the drivers of profitable growth. Providing high quality advice, information, analysis and interpretation to the business the Facultative FBP will enable effective decision making and meaningful performance management.

The Requirements

  • Professional accountancy qualification - ACA, CCA CIMA or equivalent
  • Experience in commercial, business facing, finance roles
  • Experience in partnering either business teams / functions / roles
  • Proactive self-starter
  • Track record of improving MI, process, impacting business performance and results
  • Comfortable dealing with variety of individuals, levels, personalities, and dealing with conflict
  • Able to manage the detail
  • Will need to have the confidence, credibility and gravitas to guide the business unit agenda, and to drive delivery of certain aspects of the business plan - such as driving and monitoring accountability for results in teams, and actively pursuing delivery of revenue and expense challenges and targets given to business unit leaders

  • Experience of working at a large corporate or accountancy firm or in either FMCG / Retail / other commercial sector experience
  • Ability to lead by example and be part of the hands on leadership team
