Our client, a high performing and stable SME, with a close-knit and informal culture is looking to source an ambitious Finance Analyst to join its team. The Finance Manager is looking for a bright and charismatic individual who can continuously develop their skills and who will be in poll position to be promoted to Manager themselves in a couple of years.
Main duties:
* Preparing and analysing monthly management accounts
* Preparing cost centre analysis and leading reviews with department heads
* Analysing gross margin and overheads
* Analysing revenue and distributing to leadership team
* Completing balance sheet reconciliations
* Assisting the Finance Manager in producing detailed forecasting and budgeting
* Maintaining fixed asset registers
* Maintaining stock control accounts
* Performing regular contract reviews and working alongside Project Managers to review costs
* Attending project meetings and adding value to projects
* Producing monthly reports, reviewing performance against targets, highlighting trends & variances
* Updating, maintaining and monitoring the key project KPI's
* Completing interim and full year statutory pack and annual statutory accounts
* Deputising for Finance Manager as required
Key skills & experience required:
* ACCA/CIMA part or fully qualified
* Demonstrable management accounts experience, coupled with strong commercial awareness and analysis
* Confident and credible character, can build relationships with a range of stakeholders
* Strong Excel and generally systems savvy
* Self-starter, someone who can use their initiative and proactivity to push things forward
