Bookkeeper - Spider is advertising on behalf of a highly successful family run, Plumbing & Heating Engineers & Interiors Company based in Hadleigh, Suffolk, who are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to join their team.

As a Bookkeeper, your responsibilities will be to oversee the purchase/sales ledger.

Other key duties include:
  • To support the processing of invoices payable and receivable by generating and processing accurate, complete, and timely invoices using billing software.
  • To assist and maintain the client database.
  • To support administrative/financial processes across the business.
  • To assist with incoming customer calls and enquiries as appropriate.
  • Receive and process supplier invoices, and to monitor returns and credits as appropriate.
  • Draft client invoices
  • Process service paperwork as required
  • Credit Control
  • To assist with the maintaining and reporting of financial information using accounting software
  • To assist with the maintaining and updating of the customer data sheet and arrange annual services with existing clients.
  • To assist with incoming customer calls and enquiries as appropriate.
  • To be an effective and fully supporting member of the Whitwell/Nevelli team, supporting the company's services and organisational developments.
  • To work within the company's missions and values and all policies and procedures.
  • To carry out any additional appropriate duties as instructed by the Directors.

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and attributes:
  • AAT qualified/working towards your AAT qualification or qualified by experience
  • Purchase ledger
  • Sales ledger
  • Knowledge of working with computerised systems - knowledge of Xero would be an advantage, but full training would be given.
  • Working knowledge of PAYE/CIS and dealing with HMRC
  • Able to work on your own initiative or as part of a team
  • Good communication and customer service skills

This Bookkeeper position has flexible Hours (minimum 20 hrs per week) On offer is a competitive salary (depending on experience). This will be discussed at the interview.
