Location: Huntingdon, UKHighly Competitive Salary + Excellent Benefits + Career EnhancementReporting to European Finance ManagerBecome part of one of the fastest growing med-tech companies globally.Due to the rapid expansion of Mindray's success, we have an opportunity for a highly motivated, innovative and qualified Financial Accountant with a background in reviewing and audit to join our ultra-ambitious team as we continue to disrupt the market!As an emotionally intelligent professional with a background of understanding and responding to customers' needs across Europe, you will use this role to join our growing business working alongside another Financial Accountant, reporting to the European Finance Manager whilst showcasing your appetite for overachievement.This role will be shaped by the right candidate, you will be a self-starter, with an unquestionable influencing and negotiation skills, energised by a varied and fast-paced role. Key Responsibilities

• Review Financial Statements of EU Entities and monitoring of local finance to ensure deadlines are met• Review Balance Sheet reconciliations and follow up to local finance departments with action points• Assist local finance where required with statutory audit/tax inspection requirements and requests• Reviewing reconciliations between statutory P/L and Tax P/L reporting and filings• Review with European Finance Manager accounting policies and assist with improvements and communication processes to ensure accounting in all EU entities is consistent• First level review and checking of tax and VAT filings and responsible to obtain approvals from European Finance Director and International Tax Team• Focus on revenue recognition policy and auditing the local subsidiaries to ensure compliance• Manage 'In control' platform ensuring that all financial statements/tax filings and legal entity documents are uploaded and correct• Review and checking of marketing fee contract calculations and approvals• Maintaining local agreements for marketing fee/IG loans and allocated expense recharges• Review monthly cash flow from entities and make recommendations for inter group payments• Manage employee expense system Concur (Preparing data for journals/New Starters/Leavers/Exception reporting/General reporting/Raising cases and reporting issues)• First level review of all approval requests to European Finance Director (Customer credit requests/purchase invoices/Customer RMA/Sales arrangements etc.)• First level review of commission plan calculations across region and obtaining appropriate approvals• Timely and accurate review of monthly EU financial closing information for review with Finance Manager - Europe and submission to HQ . (P/L, BS reconciliations plus supporting reports)• Assist in audit and reporting of company assets tracking/checking including but not limited to Fixed Assets and Inventory• Review contracts and engagements providing feedback and obtaining approval from European Finance Director• Close liaison with local Senior Accountants to resolve issues.• Reviewing and advising on cost Center accounting. Including managing new cost center application process for Europe• Reviewing and reporting AR Provision and Inventory Provision• Ad hoc finance projects• Ad hoc duties to support European Finance Manager

What are we looking for in you?

• Qualified/Newly Qualified Accountant with strong previous experience in an accounting role (ACCA/ACA)• Experience in practice environment with exposure to preparation and audit of financial statements• Highly numeric/strong analytical and problem-solving skills.• Advanced level spreadsheet skills and PC literacy.• Strong written reporting skills.• Confident communication skills.• Strong commercial acumen.• Drive to continually improve processes and seek new challenges.• Ability to work under pressure, working accurately with attention to detail, and meeting deadlines.• Willingness to travel.• Ability to be flexible.• Preferably knowledge and professional experience of SAP
