Finance Business Partner

Hays are working in conjunction with a leading Retail brand to recruit a qualified and progressive Finance Business Partner. This business has grown via merger and continued organic growth to be one the UK's most sought after companies. They have further expansion plans which will diversify their portfolio and strengthen their financial position further.

The purpose of the post will be to provide financial and accounting support to managers across the business.

The main duties of the Senior Finance Business Partner will be to:

• Support Financial Controller to prepare annual budgets in line with medium term financial strategy and the Business Plan
• Assist in the provision of financial forecasting, decision making support and commercial analysis, helping the business to identify a need for change to ensure positive results and identify potential down trends at the earliest opportunity
• Work closely with budget holders to increase their understanding of financial matters so they can deliver their financial management responsibilities
• Deal with and work through issues and operational challenges with managers, project teams and other stakeholders to understand the cost drivers of the business
• Lead on annual bench-marking return and other statistical returns within areas of responsibility

The successful candidate for the role of Finance Business Partner will have the following skills:

• Fully qualified or finalist accountant holding a recognised financial qualification
• Experience of management accounts and supporting on annual accounts
• Experience of delivering effective solutions to improve business efficiency
• Proven Excel skills to provide detailed commercial analysis
