PPOSBC is looking for a full time Payroll Manager proficient with Ultimate/UltiPro Payroll Software to join us... Is this you?

The Payroll Manager will manage all aspects of payroll processing, payroll reporting and time management. Builds cross–functional relationships with HR, Finance and Accounting to maintain active and appropriate communication. Manages the implementation of new policies and procedures that affect payroll. Monitors regulations and rules that impact payroll. Implements payroll systems as needed and operates the payroll and time & attendance systems. Controls and maintains system structure table maintenance, processing and reporting. Responsible for bi–weekly and off–cycle payroll processing including all reports and check requests for garnishes and voluntary deductions. Ensures compliance with all payroll reporting requirements, record keeping and filings.

Essential Functions: Essential functions encompass the required tasks, duties and responsibilities performed as part of the job and the reason the job exists.

Maintain UltiPro Software Payroll system, structure files and table
Manage time and attendance software administration such as hours worked, historical edits,
Maintain current of organizational pay practices, payroll administration, California labor laws and federal
Communicate payroll related matters to all levels of staff and management
Perform audit checks during every payroll run to ensure payroll is processed completely and accurately.
Provide technical and system resources to support the management team for bi–weekly payroll
Cross–train other personnel on key job duties to ensure adequate back–up coverage for payroll
Maintain and update employee data, pay rates, accrual rates, deductions in a timely manner.
Manage or processes bi–weekly payroll in a timely manner
Process off–cycle checks for terminations, pay adjustments, special requests, garnishments,
Files and maintains all payroll
Prepares all payroll related reports for leadership and department management including but not limited to bi–weekly leave and overtime/late lunch
Prepares metric reports of issues identified during the payroll run to the management team for solutions to be implemented to streamline the payroll process.
Provide recommendations as needed to improve the use of UltiPro Software Payroll system.
Hire, train and supervise the Payroll Coordinator position. Must be able to coordinate the work of the Payroll Coordinator and develop the necessary skills that the Payroll Coordinator needs to be successful in their role.
Qualifications

Licensure and/or Certification Requirements:

CPP Certification, preferred but not required. Minimum Education:

Bachelors degree in Accounting/Finance, or related field required. Minimum Work Experience:

A minimum of 5 years of progressive payroll experience required.

Supervisory Experience:

A minimum of 2+ years of supervisory experience required.
Demonstrated ability as an effective leader including coaching and team–building skills.
Good managerial skills, which require the ability to effectively manage administrative functions for the Department.
Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
Budgeting experience.
Excellent strategic planning skills.
Must be self–motivated and able to work without direct supervision.

Other Requirements:

Knowledge of UltiPro Payroll Software is required.
Attention to detail
Proficient knowledge of compliance in labor and tax laws related to payroll
Strong oral, written and presentation communication skills.
Healthcare experience desirable.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and poses good judgment.
