POSITION SUMMARY: Sound Physicians is looking for a dynamic, organized self–starter to join our Finance department as a Financial Analyst at the corporate headquarters in Tacoma, WA. The position reports to the VP of Finance but will primarily support the VP of Revenue Cycle.This role will be primarily focused on supporting our patient revenue cycle; however will also provide support for certain regional operation's needs. The analyst will work with Revenue Cycle personnel in the creation of standard and ad hoc reports to support operations, including but not limited to, aged trial balances, work lists, Revenue Cycle dashboard, supplemental reports, payment variances, productivity measures, customer service measures and quality indicators.II. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:• Analyzing operational data/trends which may necessitate deep dives into transactional detail • Summarizing key findings/recommendations for leadership • System administration of Revenue Cycle software (e.g. validates data; generate reports, file maintenance and oversees changes and upgrades) • Customization and creation of system reports • Providing analytical support for process improvement initiatives • Providing guidance for and/or reviewing pricing models • Maintaining data integrity III. SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, TRAINING, OR SPECIAL LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS NEEDED TO PERFORM YOUR JOB:Basic Qualifications• Highly analytical and detail oriented • Strong sense of curiosity and a drive for continuous improvement • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel • Effective communication skills with all levels of an organization from training non–revenue cycle personnel to summarizing key findings to leadership • Strong organizational skills • Positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills and flexible approach Preferred Qualifications• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Access and/or other data mining tools • Previous knowledge of healthcare revenue cycle • Evidence of stretch assignments that reflect superior performance in previous roles • Ability to thrive and grow quickly in a fast growing company • Proven ability to develop new ideas and creative solutions • Proven ability to work successfully in an ambiguous environment • Professional certification desirable (AAHAM, HFMA, MGMA, etc.) IV.
