About the role: The Senior Financial Analyst will play a key role within the Urology and Pelvic Health finance group. The individual will provide reporting, analytics and planning support primarily in the areas of Sales, gross margin and SG functions and will be a key contributor to understanding and communicating the financial performance of the division.This position also partners with senior management of the division, providing support and consultation on their functional areas of the business.Position reports to the UroPH Finance Manager and has a high degree of cross–functional collaboration, as well as interaction with other divisional and regional finance groups across the organization. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Lead the global planning and quarterly forecasting process for sales and gross margin partnering with the Franchise Finance leads to include calendar, forecast creation, consolidation and analysis. Prepare and analyze monthly and quarterly sales reporting by franchise and major products. Conduct analysis of gross margin drivers and price or volume impact. Serve as the primary business partner for the shared Marketing functions and partner with the Franchise Marketing organization and the Franchise Finance leaders. Perform all aspects of the monthly financial close including necessary journal entries, account reconciliations, generation of monthly and quarterly reporting schedules, management reporting, variance/trend analysis. Present monthly revenue results to VP of Selling and quarterly to field sales leadership team. Support the strategic planning process for revenue, margin and market size estimates. Coordinate with the marketing and supply chain groups to identify key business drivers and ensure appropriate demand forecasts. Become a subject matter expert and assist with further enhancements of corporate–wide planning tools, leverage system knowledge to continuously improve reporting processes and work with IS to ensure data accuracy / reconciliations across our systems. Represents finance on key cross–functional initiatives working to resolve and improve common issues. Support acquisition and integration efforts when necessary. Support ad–hoc requests and projects when necessary. Requirements: Four to seven years of financial analysis, planning, and business support experience required. Prior experience in a medium to large company preferred. Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance or Accounting required (MBA or masters a plus). Must be able to work well in a complex, highly matrixed worldwide organization and be able to simplify that matrix for reporting and analytical purposes.The successful candidate will need to exhibit the following skills: Strong systems skills. Familiarity with Hyperion Planning and SAP a plus. Strong Excel skills required. Ability to consolidate, synthesize and report on large amounts of financial data. Very strong financial analysis skills. Attention to detail & data accuracy. Outstanding verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work autonomously and act in a consultative role. Exceptional organizational & time management skills are crucial. Environment is fast–paced and multi–tasking is essential.
