As Senior Financial Analyst, you will be a key finance member of the Corporate FP team. This role will be responsible for delivering insightful financial analysis and providing business decision support for the company. This is a highly visible role that will interact with leaders across the organization. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Gather, consolidate, and analyze operating and financial results for the three financial statements, including preparing internal and external reporting deliverables, analyzing trends & drivers, and explaining forecast vs. actual variances.Contribute meaningfully to quarterly forecast and budget planning cycles, including coordinating with all stakeholders, providing corporate inputs, and preparing relevant deliverables.Assist with management and Board business and financial planning, including presentations and key analysis requestsIdentify and lead initiatives to continuously improve, automate and scale forecasting and reporting tools, processes, and methodologiesServe as a key liaison and partner to Finance, Accounting, Treasury, Tax, Systems, and other parts of the organizationBusiness partnering: you'll work hand–in–hand to build scalable solutions to complex problems, rooted in data and analyticsBuild and oversee forecasting models for weekly, monthly, and annual planning processesAnalyze operating and financial trends and identify opportunities and develop alternatives to improve performanceDevelop, own and manage financial models to support key initiatives and business decisionsPartner deeply with teams across the organizationProvide input and analysis on key expense trends and metricsLead and support ad hoc strategic and operational projects as requiredREQUIRED:MBA with a bachelor's degree in business, economics, accounting, engineering, or any other technical or quantitative discipline and at least 4 years of relevant work experience or Bachelor's degree and at least 6+ years of experience in Accounting or FinanceAdvanced Excel modeling skills, including the ability to create economic cases and various pro–forma scenario models that influence senior–level decisionsAdvanced PowerPoint skills, with experience in presenting complex business and strategic opportunities to senior leadership and boardsData savviness, with the ability to drill down and identify key drivers and communicate insightful, actionable recommendationsDriven, self–starter with ability to work both independently and in a team settingYou thrive in a fluid and dynamic fast–paced environment, and embrace ambiguityHighly collaborative, team focused with excellent interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills ABOUT WESTERN DIGITAL The future.
