You know how to work closely with cross–functional partners in accounting and operations and your superb organizational skills help you create and execute meaningful work–product while delivering a high level of service to your internal clients.ABOUT THIS ROLEIn this role, you will work alongside the other Finance Team members and the larger 3Degrees organization to support the semi–annual planning process, ongoing analysis and other special projects. WHAT YOU'LL DOThe 3Degrees Finance Team provides management with critical financial insights to support data–based decisions to accomplish key business objectives. As a collaborative team member you will develop and refine financial models for various product lines, measure, analyze and forecast performance in conjunction with operating plans. You will join forces with division leaders on our semi–annual planning cycle, provide support on monthly and quarterly financial (variance) analysis and ad–hoc reporting. The financial analyst should bring expertise within this arena, and perform the following work: Support the semi–annual financial planning process.Partner with department heads to help translate their company goals into plan assumptions.Provide analysis of trends and forecasts and recommend actions for optimization.Work with Accounting teammates to understand variances to plan and update plan as it relates to accounting treatments.Assist department heads with report generation and interpretation within Workday Adaptive.Work with the Finance Director to implement updates to model and underlying model tools within and outside of Workday Adaptive with an eye for functionality and internal consistency.Collaborate with Accounting on KPI reporting and KPI generation. WHAT WE SEEK FROM YOUBachelor's degree in accounting or finance.3–5+ years of experience in an accounting or finance function.High proficiency in financial modeling techniques.Familiarity with reporting and forecasting in an FP environment.Familiarity with GAAP accounting.Strong organization and analytical skills; detail and process–oriented.Ability to distill complex concepts and an eye for building simple models/tools which capture necessary complexity.Experience with Workday Adaptive Planning a plus.Advanced Excel skills (functions, formatting, macros, pivots, large data sets, and nested if–statements).Seek simplicity and desire to recommend improvements to existing processes and tools.Demonstrated ability to cultivate a strong sense of structure as it relates to internal reporting and communications.Expertise in strategic decision making. Ability to clearly identify the key inputs in a system with an eye for clarity.Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, both oral and written; ability to build and deliver effective presentations. Possess a problem–solving mindset and a willingness to challenge current processes towards continual streamlining. Deep financial statement generation and/or analysis skills with a desire to become an expert. Self–starter with highly investigative approach. HOW WE DEFINE SUCCESS Immediately – Support the annual financial planning process, making adjustments to Workday Adaptive model and supporting spreadsheets/tools.Over the intermediate term – Provide supporting analysis for ongoing projects.Over the longer term – Manage aspects of the planning process by partnering with key stakeholders in the company to create business–line budgets.Within the first year – Be fluent in 3Degrees business models, accounting and metrics.
