Welk is looking to add a Sr. Financial Analyst to our FP team to help build financial planning and analysis models for the organization. This position will be responsible for building and maintaining financial planning models for all strategic and annual plans, operational plans, budgets, forecasts, and outlooks, as well as providing insightful recurring and ad–hoc financial analysis to our senior leadership team and investors. These responsibilities will require a strong ability to work cross functionally with the various functional teams in the business as well as expert Excel and data mining skills.The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis. Other requirements include a solid understanding of financial modeling and reporting, very strong Excel skills, and the ability to work in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment.II. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Develops financial models using Excel that maintain relevant information for internal and external monthly reportingSupport the ongoing maintenance and evolution of the budgeting and planning processesPrepare monthly management reports emphasizing operational/financial performance metrics, historical results, budgets, forecasts, and trendsPerform actual to budget/forecast variance analysis while highlighting risks and opportunitiesAssist with the preparation of reports for the senior leadership team, Board of Directors, investors and various external parties as neededProvide business development support as needed through modeling and analysisSupport ad–hoc financial analysis inquiries from the senior leadership teamPerform other related duties in accordance with the department's values of collaboration, cross–functionality, and accountability as requested or directed by the Director of FPJOB SPECIFICATIONSIII. EDUCATION:Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting or related fieldMBA or similar advanced degree is a plusIV. TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:Advanced skills performing technical analysis and reporting utilizing ExcelExpert knowledge of financial modelingStrong understanding of financial statements and accounting principlesDetail oriented, proactive problem solver with excellent analytical, quantitative and investigative skillsAbility to translate findings into business insights and to communicate them in a way that is clear and meaningfulAbility to synthesize and work with various data types from a variety of sources, e.g., operational, transactional, financial, survey, third–party vendor, and macroeconomicComfortable in a team environment with changing priorities and time pressuresGood project management skills with the ability to handle a diverse workload and competing prioritiesHighly motivated with the ability to work independentlyIV. EXPERIENCE:4+ years' experience in financial planning and analysis or related fieldExperience working with dynamic data visualization tools like Tableau a plus
