Accountemps is seeking a Full Charge Bookkeeper to prepare and process financial statements and accounts and manage all general accounting and bookkeeping essential functions. Based in Greensburg, Pennsylvania, the Full Charge Bookkeeper role is a long–term temporary–to–full–time opportunity. What you get to do every day – Handling reconciliations for bank and general ledgers, and processing payroll – Completing monthly, quarterly, and year end close, on time and in an accurate manner – Supervising tasks of accounting clerks and entry–level bookkeepers – Producing the trial balance and financial statements, including, but not limited to, balance sheet and statements of income and of cash flows – Maintaining adherence to federal, state, and local legal requirements by keeping up to date on them, filing reports, and advising management on needed actions – Tracking fixed assets and constructing depreciation schedules – Executing accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks, such as collections – Preserving historical records through the accurate filing of documents The hours for this position are Monday through Friday from 8am–5pm but are flexible. – Ability to multitask and attention to detail are critical – Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision – Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are a must – Be able to adapt and thrive in constantly changing environments – High school diploma or comparable diploma with an AA degree or higher in Accounting or Business preferred – Quality experience with Corporate Tax Return – Proficiency in Accounts Receivable (AR) – Accounts Payable (AP) experience required – Practical knowledge of Payroll Tax Returns – General familiarity with Payroll Taxes – Proven knowledge of Payroll Tax Deposits – Well–founded grasp of Payroll Tax Reporting – Foundational knowledge in Payroll Tax – Solid understanding of QuickBooks – Local Payroll Tax experience highly desired – Competence with financial data analysis and report generation that is prompt and accurate – Prior experience with Excel and Peachtree – Experience with payroll preferred – 3+ years of relevant experience in bookkeeping – Proficient in accrual and cash basis of accounting
