Finance Director, PTG Residential Products

Our Global Tools & Storage division, responsible for $10B of that revenue, is currently seeking candidates for a Finance Director for the Power Tools Group (PTG) Finance organization based in Towson, Maryland. This position will support PTG's Residential Products Business.Job Description:This role will report to the CFO of the Power Tools Group to help lead the worldwide financial planning and analysis activities including our 3–year Strategic Plan, Operating Plan, and Quarterly Forecast development. Strong leadership and partnering skills are mandatory. The individual should have strong Finance experience and the ability to effectively work in a complex matrix–management org–structure. Specific responsibilities of the position will include (but not limited to):Effectively manage multiple priorities within a broad team of cross–regional and cross–functional team members.Partner with PTG senior leadership to drive financial performance and process excellence.Provide financial guidance for the management of the Residential product portfolio including Saws & Wood, Fastening and Tradesman product portfolios.Support the Strategic Plan, the Annual Operating Plan and Quarterly Forecasts.Leverage data and analytics to provide insight on drivers of profitability.Analyze, and provide insightful financial reports and global presentations.Evaluate financial potential of New Product Development (NPD) programs using Return on Capital (ROC) models, prioritize investments based on NPV.Collaborate with Global Product Marketing and Engineering as part of the NPD process.Support FP deliverables including Month End Review and Performance Analytics.Provide ad–hoc support and analysis as requested.Drive process improvements to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the finance function.Essential Skill & Experience:12 to 15+ years of relevant financial work experience and established skills in a corporate business unit.Ability to independently manage multiple concurrent tasks in a dynamic and fast paced setting.Ability to independently partner with regional and channel finance teams, who also have matrixed lines into the business.Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related degree. CPA, CMA and/or MBA preferred. Possesses strong analytic and communication skills.Demonstrated problem solving and process improvement capabilities.Experience with ERP or data warehouse usage or implementation with strong capabilities in Excel.
