Department Overview
Motorola Solutions Finance Operation Center is a department of Motorola in Kraków which gives you an opportunity to participate in the setup of the new organization. The center is a part of our global network of Finance Operation Centers (FOC) which provides world-class finance, accounting and purchasing services to Motorola branches in Europe, Middle East, Africa and US region. It is a dynamic environment where your ideas and input will be valued and where you will do some of the best work of your life.

Business Finance team is responsible for analysis of financial reports, trends, risks and opportunities. We gather, interpret and evaluate financial information, including past financial data and short- to long-term financial forecasts. Business Finance department supports a wide range of Motorola Solutions businesses and operations functions across Europe, Africa and North America region. We have several small subteams in Business Finance that's why our team is unique - almost each position in our team has a different scope. You will have the opportunity to understand how our company operates and improve your analytical skills. We are looking for a high potential leader who will lead the team of Financial Analysts supporting different finance organizations/business units across Europe, Asia and North America regions.
Job Description
  • Management of the team;
  • Oversee month closing activities;
  • Ensure high quality and timing of service delivery;
  • Approve and control balance sheet account reconciliations;
  • Participate in company's initiatives and also drives improvement initiatives proactively;
  • Annual/quarterly Budget preparation coordination;
  • Participate in new initiatives, projects to drive process improvements;
  • Partner with regional financial controllers and non-finance partners based in various MSI locations to drive business growth and support their key goals and initiatives;
  • Support to the team in critical tasks;
  • Ensure compliance with policies and procedures;
  • Internal and external audit support;

Basic Requirements
  • At least 3 years of leadership/management;
  • At least 8 years of diversified experience in finance roles, preferably focused on project account
  • Must have SOX/US GAAP practical knowledge
  • Very good understanding of P&L and Balance Sheet;
  • Been part of project accounting team dealing with infrastructure projects
  • Able to understand revenue recognition mechanics
  • Experience in leadership, working with business partners, controllers around the world;
  • Working in multinational company with various local subsidiaries
  • University degree in finance or accounting;
  • Excellent English, candidate is able to hold business unit specific discussions with business partners worldwide, also with external parties;
  • Oracle and Tableau experience
  • Advanced use of MS Excel;
  • Proactive and 'can do' attitude with drive to challenge status quo
  • Open mindset and creativity
  • High analytical skills and ability to link various data sources to reach conclusions;
  • Ability to learn quickly new topics and new IT systems;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Team player with excellent interpersonal skills, strong work ethic and positive attitude;
  • Ability to develop, train, lead and motivate a team;
  • Accept and give feedback in the spirit of open communication with the goal of enhanced performance;
