Job Summary

TheAudit Consultant is part of a global team conducting value-added audits aroundthe world. An Audit Consultant will work in teams of 3-5 people led by a SeniorConsultant and is responsible for audit testing procedures including interviews,workpaper documentation and presenting findings. All Audit Consultants must maintainand exhibit the highest standards of ethics, professionalism, integrity, anddiscipline in all their actions. This role reports to the Americas AuditDirector.

Responsibilities:

AuditCycle:

  • Developworking knowledge of the objectives of the various engagements (e.g., statutoryand other regulatory requirements, client expectations, types of reports to berendered) as well as the planned review approach (including the effect ofweaknesses in the control environment and other risks for the areas of thereview that they personally execute).
  • Performreviews, including inquiries and interviews of operations personnel, utilizingestablished guidelines to analyze the adequacy of internal controls andcompliance with corporate standards, policies and procedures.
  • Analyzeevidence, reach conclusions, suggest ideas for improved internal controls andoperating efficiencies
  • Assistin drafting the audit report which is used to communicate proposed audit issuesand recommendations for improvement to the operating personnel and seniormanagement of Ingersoll-Rand.
  • Discussaudit findings with operating personnel to verify facts and obtain backgroundinformation not available in the documentation examined.
  • Participatein closing meetings explaining issues relevant to areas reviewed.
  • Prepareneat, concise and accurate working papers.

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduatedegree in business, accounting or finance
  • CPA,CMA, CIA, or ACA a plus
  • MBAa plus
  • Oneto two years of relevant audit and/or manufacturing accounting experience
  • MSExcel and Word
  • OracleR12 and HFM a plus
