SUMMARY

The Financial Analyst assists with the overall administration of asset/liability management (ALM), profitability and data analysis, budgeting and forecasting, investment processes, and management reporting at County Federal. The incumbent collects, researches, monitors and analyzes financial information to budget and forecast financial performance, spot trends, identify risks and make recommendations for improvements. Works with the Finance team under the Finance AVP to understand business drivers and organizational strategic direction to provide correct, timely and complete financial analyses.

Education and/or Experience. BS degree in Finance and a range of 3-5 years related experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations. None required or preferred.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Assisting in preparing various source files and data for asset/liability management (ALM) analysis and working with a third party ALM vendor.

• Review and validate data as it is collected. Review data files to ensure integrity of data collection and utilization.

• Assisting in generating profitability analyses and forecasts for products and households using Marketing Customer Information File (MCIF) software.

• Creating and maintaining spreadsheets and use appropriate software to produce charts and graphs to illustrate technical reports and data visualization.

• Assisting with building financial models and performing valuation analyses.

• Assist in preparation of monthly management reports and dashboards.

• Assisting in creation of budgets and forecasts, keeping track of operating expense, capital expenditures, budget variances and coordinate interdepartmental dialogs during the process.

• Recommending actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses, generating useful reports based on findings.

• Maintaining databases or data systems, as well as identifying new process improvement opportunities.

• Comfortable with compiling, interpreting, and reporting on information on a wide range of topics

• Experience with data collection process and integration of core and third-party data

• Perform audits and identify inaccuracies in data sets and communicate the existence of discrepancies to management

• Perform analysis of datasets, build accurate data maps, and conduct regular data validation to support the Company's control framework

• Monitoring fundamental micro and macroeconomic, industrial, and corporate developments through the analysis of information obtained from financial publications, and services, investment banking firms, government agencies, trade publications, company sources, and personal interviews.

• Forecasting cash flow positions, related borrowing needs, and available funds for investment.

• Assisting in managing Vendor Management compliance process, including maintaining and storing updated contracts, contract renewal dates are communicated to responsible business unit leaders beforehand, and vendor service level agreement performance is tracked and analyzed.

• Ensuring compliance with internal controls, policies and procedures; Ensuring that operations are conducted in accordance with established Credit Union policies, legal and regulatory requirements, including, but not limited to, understanding of the compliance with the Credit Union's Bank Secrecy Act (BSA)- Anti Money Laundering (AML) program.

• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suites, specifically MS Word and Excel with the aptitude to easily learn other software programs.

• Ability to analyze large datasets.

• Experience or understanding of system integration, data warehousing, data mining, and data mapping.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. Work will require extensive personal contact with others.

• Ability to work independently.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities concurrently, and complete projects on schedule with a high degree of accuracy.
