An employer is looking for a lead accountant to work for a large retail client in San Diego, CA. The role is broken down as follows:
Financial reporting
Technical accounting research and memo preparation
M&A implementation and accounting
Investor & lender relations
Debt & derivatives accounting
Accounting policy administration
This person will be reporting into the Financial Reporting Manager and rolling up into the Director of Corporate Reporting. They will manage 1-2 employees and have a plethora of opportunity to move up within the organization and earn promotions. The role allows for 12% bonuses based on company and personal performance. They will be working from home for the time being but ultimately need to be local to San Diego for the long term. The role is essentially between a lead and manager level role with opportunity to grow and develop within the org as they want to groom someone into a full time manager.

Minimum Requirements
- #1: Public accounting experience or experience working at a Big 4
- Experience being a lead/mentor with strong personality with excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Bachelors in Accounting
