As an Accounts Payable & Receivable, you will be responsible for streamlining the receipts function and ensuring compliance with company's authorization policies. Specific tasks will include cash receipts, batching, and posting receivables, A/P by matching, gaining approvals, coding of invoices, issuing purchase order numbers, journal entries and help processing bi-weekly check-runs.

You will know you're a match to this position if you possess interpersonal and organizational skills, are a self-starter, detail oriented, and can work quickly and accurately under time constraints and against deadlines and previous experience providing superior customer service preferred.

Primary Duties:
  • Respond to and interact with customers concerning all aspects of billing through phone, e-mail, regular mail or personal contact in a prompt and courteous manner.
  • Prepare daily deposit, including but not limited to, entering payments into billing system, finding customer numbers for unmarked payments, correcting errors in deposits, printing deposit slips, marking checks and money orders for deposit, delivering deposits to bank.
  • Accurately posts credit to customer accounts as directed by the credit department
  • Scan checks into bank POS deposit system and file scanned checks/vouchers.
  • Receives and records receipt of cash money from customers that pay in the accounting department
  • Receives, balances and enters cashbox monies and reports from the branch

  • Ability to use a computer, ability to work as part of a team, accuracy, computer literacy, and organization skills are essential in this position. Knowledge of basic mathematics.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and two to five years related sales experience and/or training in AR and AP; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
