Position Summary

The Controls Assurance team works improve IT controls through continuous monitoring and proactively identifying control gaps. The Information Protection Lead Analyst will work with teams to help monitor and assess controls to ensure they are operating effectively. The successful candidate will have the knowledge and skill set to employ similar techniques used by IT auditors. This position will report findings to management and recommend necessary corrective action and process improvements.

Responsibilities
  • Execute key functions of the Controls Assurance Program.
  • Deliver against Program deadlines and stories.
  • Meet frequently with enterprise control owners to educate teams on required control activities and external audit requirements.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to interpret external regulatory requirements and design internal controls.
  • Assist internal IT and Business control owners to create, document, and verify controls.
  • Identify and communicate internal and external audit risk through the collection and analysis of internal control evidence.
  • Measure and report health of key technical controls.
  • Special projects as assigned.


Qualifications
  • High School diploma required; Bachelors and/or Masters degree preferred
  • Internal Audit or Public accounting or IT security experience preferred.
  • Complete understand of IT general controls best practices
  • Knowledge of IT audit standards, policies and procedures.
  • CISA or CISSP preferred.
  • Understanding of Agile software development methodology, computer networking and IT security.
  • Proven ability to work with large data sets
  • Experience with PowerShell, VBA, SQL, R or Python preferred.
  • Experience with designing automation processes preferred
  • Data analytics experience preferred
  • MS Office skills required.
  • Strong technical and analytical skills.
  • Experience working with cross functional departments to research and resolve issues using innovative solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet multiple deadlines and manage a heavy workload.
  • Ability to handle sensitive or confidential information is critical.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with Cigna Management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills along with presentation skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to accommodate project deadlines.
