BerganKDV has an opening for a full-time Financial Analyst. This role is with our Internal Finance team and will work closely with our Controller and CFO.

Job Summary:

The Financial Analyst will analyze past financial performance to predict future performance and to advise the company on its financial strategy.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Analyses business and financial data.

• Creates financial models bases on analyses to support organizational decision making.

• Develops annual financial budget, quarterly forecasts and related reports for organizational leaders.

• Analyzes industry trends and makes recommendations based on those trends.

• Understands price volume mix analysis (PVM), standard cost, and monitoring variances in operations utilization, realization, and work in process (WIP) + accounts receivable trends.

• Evaluates capital expenditures and depreciation for new facility buildouts or development investments.

• Develops monthly cashflow analysis for an 18-month rolling period.

• Develops automated reporting and forecasting tools for more efficient use of data.

• Develops monthly board reporting and leadership metric reporting.

• Completes month-end assigned duties for the Wealth Management and Alliance Division covering:

o Profit and Loss Statement Review (PNL)

o Balance Sheet Reconciliation

o Commentary Review

• Support the Sales Tax management process and reporting.

• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

• Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Auditing Standards.

• Thorough understanding of methods of systems analysis and the principles, design, and procedural methods used in big data analysis.

• Thorough understanding of project management and ability to work independently.

• Ability to streamline functions and passion to learn and grow

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Positive team dynamic with a focus on driving an engaging culture with colleagues.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.

• Two to five years of professional experience as an accountant or auditor

• Valid CMA or CPA preferred
