Primary Purpose Of Job
Responsible for tracking technology purchases and managing payment and inventory, abiding by relevant policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Creates purchase orders, places orders, reviews invoices for accuracy, obtains approvals for payment, and submits payment uploads to Accounting.

Major Job Accountabilities
  • Works with Technology and business units to complete purchase orders for technology purchases. Ensures the correct GL account and cost center is indicated based on the item being purchased and validates that the purchase is within budget.
  • Tracks technology purchases, from purchase orders to receiving items to paying the invoices and placing the items into the Fixed Asset Ledger.
  • Performs month-over-month invoice analysis for vendors with recurring payments, to ensure changes are appropriate.
  • Reviews vendor contracts to ensure billing is accurate and appropriate.
  • Collaborates with Technology leadership to review and validate invoices, ensuring timely payment of invoices.
  • Prepares payment uploads to submit to Accounting for payment of Technology invoices.
  • As part of tracking technology purchases, ensures monthly accruals and reversals are submitted to Accounting for the expenses incurred.
  • For any changes during an asset's life cycle, ensures the appropriate accounting measures are taken and updates tracking in the IT Asset Inventory.
  • Participates in monthly, quarterly and annual physical IT Asset Inventory counts.
  • Performs weekly, monthly and quarterly analysis of budget to actuals for the Technology department and assists Project Managers with technology purchases with budget tracking.
  • Assists with life cycle infrastructure planning and analysis.

Education Requirements
Four-year college degree majoring in Business, Accounting, or related field

Experience Required
  • Two (2) to five (5) years of work experience performing audit procedures or internal control testing
  • Two (2) to five (5) years of work experience in Public Accounting and/or in process design, evaluation, and improvement preferred
  • Two (2) to five (5) years of work experience in financial services industry and/or a regulated industry preferred

Required Skills Or Training
  • Deep understanding of departmental budget and strategic initiatives.
  • Able to work independently and on a team while remaining flexible in a demanding work environment in order to meet schedules and deadlines.
  • Strong analytic skills to make recommendations to solving complex project and business problems.
  • Requires daily communication with bank personnel to identify, determine, or advise proper accounting and reporting requirements. Also communicates with vendors on billing and payment matters.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Excellent written, verbal, listening, and interpersonal skills.

Professional Certifications, Licenses, And/or Registration Requirements
Valid Driver's License and mode of transportation to travel to inventory counts.
