JOB SUMMARY

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Textron Financial team as an IT Business Analyst II where you will be responsible for supporting the relationship between Textron Information Systems, Textron Financial IT, and the various Textron Financial Corporation (TFC) departments. Activities include support for various finance applications, ensuring delivery and on-going support of IT solutions, and enabling key finance business processes. The IT Business Analyst II will support the business through analysis and design, trouble-shooting system issues, documenting business requirements and technical specifications, identifying technology solutions, performing system testing, and providing configuration and end-user support of finance applications. This role is on-site in Wichita, KS.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Support the TFC business unit by gathering business requirements, proposing solutions, drafting technical specifications, providing configuration, user testing, and end-user support of key finance and leasing applications, reports and queries.
  • Create new and support existing financial and leasing reports that allow the business to perform timely decisions.
  • Develop and modify analytics dashboards to allow the business to analyze current and future state leasing transactions.
  • Identify, communicate, and resolve issues in order to maximize the benefit of IT system investments, trouble-shooting and performing root cause analysis.
  • Demonstrate business partnering skills to effectively establish solid business connections.
  • Contribute to the installation of upgrades, patches, new modules and/or configuration changes to infrastructure and software.
  • Apply good, solid understanding of hardware/software development methodologies on projects.
  • Understand the sensitive nature of financial information and critical time periods for reporting.
  • Adhere to IT policies and procedures and controls.
  • Research and provide technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems, including process improvement and using both existing and new technology for solutions
  • Provide end-user assistance, training and support documentation for key finance systems and interfaces
  • Manage projects in support of finance initiatives for TFC.
  • Report status of projects regularly to IT management and finance team.
  • Work with customers to prioritize requests and set timelines.
  • Deliver work on-time and to customer specification following defined standards, conventions and controls.
  • Take on responsibility of other/new finance systems and supporting applications and services as needed.
  • Self-starter who can work in team environment as well as work independently with minimal direction.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Computer Engineering or Similar Field
  • Minimum 2 years' experience performing analysis and design or similar background
  • This position requires use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. SKILLS/COMPETENCIES
  • Strong verbal, written, and communication skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Software Development/Configuration Life Cycle
  • Demonstrated ability working with enterprise software applications; such as financial and leasing systems and services.
  • Experience in working on management reporting.
  • High level understanding of accounting and leasing concepts.
  • Knowledge of operating systems; such as UNIX; Linux; Windows
  • Knowledge of databases; such as Oracle; MS SQL Server or MySQL is preferred.
  • Knowledge of SQL for querying and testing is preferred.
  • Knowledge of data analytics tools, such as QlikView and PowerBI.
  • Knowledge of enterprise content management systems, such as Filebound, is preferred.
  • Knowledge of reporting tools, such as SSIS, Crystal Reporting and Business Objects is preferred.
  • High level knowledge of computer programming languages (MS.Net; JAVA Script, HTML, C# and Visual Basic) is recommended.
