Senior Finance Analyst - Medicare Part D - Remote Opportunity (Finance)

Performs an expert level of financial analysis, planning, forecasting, accounting, and transactional processing activities which may include leading such activities.Coordinates the periodic compilation or execution of timely and accurate financial transactions and/or reports which includes variance analysis and/or a clear understanding of accounting transactions and financial reporting implications.
  • Leads overall responsibility for the Companys accounting and reporting for Medicare prescription drug plan product through collaboration with various departments throughout the Company.
  • Recommends actions to management throughout the enterprise, identifies trends, risks, and indicators through analysis of financial and nonfinancial data
  • Seeks out projects and takes leadership role with increasing frequency
  • Leads and documents key processes, decisions and insights to business partners
  • Understand business products and strategy
  • Contributes and executes on ideas to improve business processes and knowledge in the workplace
  • Operates collaboratively while building relationships with business partners
  • Strong knowledge of finance and/or accounting practices and procedures preferably common to an insurance industry finance environment.
  • Knowledge and/or previous accounting experience for Medicare related products, including prescription drug plans administered through CMS.
  • Possesses an in-depth understanding of Medicare prescription drug plan product and Medicare/CMS reporting/compliance processes.
  • Understanding of statutory accounting and/or insurance business processes
  • Strong communication skills verbally, non-verbally and in written formats, with peers and management including in times of conflict and negotiation
  • Strong technical knowledge across a wide range of complex financial concepts and processes
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-up, analytical acumen and excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle and prioritize multiple and competing priorities across team members
  • Ability to work with and maintain secure and confidential information as well as escalate data breach if they occur.
  • Self-driven with demonstrated ability to deal with ambiguity, influence change with peers, management, and business partners
  • Demonstrates initiative to consistently improve processes through creativity and flexibility with minimal supervision
  • Developing project management skills and ability to influence others.
  • Designation specific to the Finance field, such as a CPA
  • Strong knowledge of key Mutual systems, including but not limited to Peoplesoft, Essbase, or PBCS
  • Advanced level degree or equivalent experience in Finance related field
