About the position

Prudential Financial (Prudential) has an opening in its Retirement Business Unit Treasury Group. This group is responsible for providing support to our domestic Retirement business on all corporate finance, capital management, borrowing, liquidity, and cash management activities.

In this role, a successful candidate will gain a thorough understanding of all the products that the Retirement business offers in the marketplace, as well as the appropriate level of capital and liquidity necessary to support the economic risks of each product. In addition to supporting the Retirement business, this position will interact directly with various support functions across Prudential including, Finance, Treasury, Asset Management, Actuarial and Enterprise Risk Management.

The primary responsibilities of this position are:

  • Responsible for supporting all capital related forecast and reporting processes for the Retirement business
  • Support allocation of capital to the product level across the Retirement business with the opportunity to have broader influence on capital issues across the enterprise
  • Support the development and analysis of annual business unit capital plan
  • Provide analysis to better understand key business drivers that impact capital and distributable cash flows
  • Support the Retirement Business and Corporate Partner's assessment of new product risks and capital requirements
  • Work closely with Corporate partners (Treasurers, Risk Management, Actuarial) to influence, understand, and implement improvements to Prudential's Required Capital framework
  • Provide various ad hoc initiatives and presentations for Retirement and Corporate leaders
  • Support creation of presentations for senior management, rating agencies, regulators and the Finance Committee/Board of Directors

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
  • Experience in finance, accounting, or treasury field preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong financial analysis and analytical skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment
  • Team player, but able to be productive independently
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • CFA, CPA, or MBA desired but not required
