The Customer Trust and Partner Support (CT&PS) organization is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst (SFA) for the Buyer Risk Finance team. CT&PS employees over 15,000 employees who provide support to Amazon's Selling Partners while also ensuring that we protect Amazon customers from bad actors. CT&PS is responsible for preventing fraudulent purchases across nearly every Amazon product line. Fraud prevention is a real-money game where we strive to outsmart those who attempt to defraud Amazon and our customers.

The SFA will be a key player in providing financial insights to business leaders and other finance partners across Amazon. This person will provide key finance support for the Buyer Risk team, including WW operations, technical teams and program/product managers. The SFA will identify and analyze opportunities and risks to the business and help drive prioritization. The SFA will be a Finance subject matter expert for our business partners, and will play a key role in fostering partnerships and collaboration between the Buyer Risk team and other teams across Amazon. This role requires the ability to understand a wide variety of business use cases, assess risk, and where needed drive steps to mitigate risks. Core financial responsibilities include controllership, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis of financial results. There are opportunities for complex model and report building and large data analysis, in addition to automation and standardization of models, processes and reports. The candidate will need exceptionally clear, concise and accurate communication skills to interact with multiple partners across the diverse organization. The right individual should possess sound business judgment and be capable of driving the right results, including the ability to influence senior business leaders and to work cross-functionally with multiple finance and business teams. The successful candidate must be able to think and act both strategically and tactically. It will be expected that the candidate can identify issues by diving deep and working with technical teams to pinpoint root causes, drive closure, and work solutions to make corrections required.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
• Advanced to Expert user of Excel
• Strong financial modeling & analytical skills with superior attention to detail
• Experience with COGNOS and SQL
• Understanding of accounting concepts, investigating large data sets, and problem solving
• Motivated self-starter that can work independently with limited supervision
• Experience in deep dive analysis and has the desire to problem solve
• Proven ability to influence and make an impact
• Desire to exceed expectations and drive positive change in the organization
• A fast learner who can quickly absorb the nuances and behaviors of Amazon's varied system architecture
• Ability to handle tight deadlines and conflicting priorities
