As a Full Charge Bookkeeper your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Overseeing accounting clerks and entry-level bookkeepers

• Maintaining adherence to federal, state, and local legal requirements by keeping up to date on them, filing reports, and advising management on needed actions

• Completing bank and general ledger reconciliations; processing payroll

• Putting together the trial balance and financial statements, including balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement

• Ensuring correct and punctual monthly, quarterly and year end close

• Handling processing tasks for accounts payable and accounts receivable, including collections

• Tracking fixed assets and preparing depreciation schedules

• Maintaining historical records by filing documents

Requirements

The ideal Full Charge Bookkeeper candidate will have:

• High school diploma or comparable diploma with an Associate of Arts degree or higher in Accounting or Business preferred

• 3 or more years of experience in the bookkeeping field

• Payroll experience preferred

• Prior experience with Excel, QuickBooks, and Peachtree

• Demonstrated flexibility to adapt to changes in procedures and job assignments

• Proficient at analyzing financial data and promptly creating accurate reports

• Command of Accounts Payable (AP)

• Account reconciliation experience desired

• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines

• Highly organized, attentive, has a sense of urgency, flexible and able to deal with frequent interruptions and changing priorities

• A deep understanding of accrual and cash basis of accounting

• Capable of working independently with minimal oversight
