Job Description
This role handles financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. The role requires superb analytical skills, and the work environment is challenging and fast-paced. - Execute monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP
- Assist in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
- Successfully collaborate with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures, controls and provide support on special requests when necessary
- Manage Ad-hoc projects as necessary
- Commitment to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
- Engage in various department-wide initiatives
- Formulate Balance Sheet account reconciliations
- Prepare monthly consolidated P&L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
Requirements
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Self-starter and strong ethical standards
- 5+ years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience
- Able to manage time well
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing effectively throughout all levels of the company
- Strong familiarity with Intercompany Transaction
- Comprehensive knowledge of consolidations
- Foundational knowledge in month end closings
- Knowledge of SAP
- Prior experience in a public accounting environment is highly valued
- Understanding of corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
- Remarkable analytical, quantitative and social skills
- Deep understanding of internal controls and SOX compliance
- Great attention to detail
- Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment
- Proficient in ERP systems
- BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
