Methode Electronics is seeking a highly motivated Director of Global Accounting Shared Services to join our growing organization headquartered in our Chicago, IL, O'Hare offices. You will build the foundation for Methode's newly created accounting services organization made up of regional teams in North America, EMEA, and Asia. Reporting to Methode's Chief Accounting Officer, this key leadership position will develop and implement the global accounting shared services vision, mission and functional strategy.

Responsibilities:
  • Create and manage complete service delivery for accounting services including all main processes (AR, AP, GL, etc.) across Business Units and legal entities
  • Support global Finance transformation and help shape the future regional shared service center model
  • Deliver high-quality and efficient accounting shared services across the organization
  • Identify talent needs and manage hiring, people development, performance management and succession planning
  • Implement global accounting policies, procedures and processes including enabling technologies
  • Manage relationship and partner with Operations Finance leaders across the organization
  • Coordinate site-wide management activities to ensure data security and risk management across the organization
  • Maintain and oversee internal controls and preparation of financial reporting in compliance with US GAAP
  • Develop, drive and ensure usage of best-practice organizational models, processes and procedures
  • Engage with key stakeholders and report on shared service performance metrics
  • Accountable for adherence to all legal requirements such as company law, financial and tax policies, and compliance
  • Develop and monitor the accounting shared services budget
  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • 10+ years progressive experience within Accounting or Finance, including managing a Global Shared Services Center
  • Demonstrated experience hiring, leading, coaching and developing Accounting teams
  • Experience leading a complex international organization
  • Strong background knowledge in all aspects of general accounting and internal controls, and company policies
  • Understanding of US GAAP with strong analytical skills
  • Stakeholder management experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • CPA qualification desired
