The Senior Financial Analyst role is an integral part of the Technology Finance team, reporting into the Director, Technology Business Analytics -amp; Strategic Projects. The Senior Financial Analyst helps support the Finance operations for Cyber Security, IT HQ Functions, and Global IT including, budgeting, forecasting, reporting for Operating/Capital Expense on a gross and net basis, as well as focusing on process centralization within the group.
Primary Responsibilities
- Consolidate and report actuals, quarterly estimates, strategic and operating plans (LRP and Budget), and related variances for various budgets.
- Coordinate the monthly closes for the Finance Managers, including helping to process recurring journal entries and helping to manage the actuals vs. budget reconciliation.
- Streamline internal forecast and close processes.
- Facilitate centralized IT Finance Processes for third party expenses
- Perform analyses that provide insightful views into the operations and financial performance of the Enterprise areas, as well as a point of contact for resolution of financial questions or issues as they arise with our Technology operators and our business customers.
- Propose new ideas and help to implement process improvements related to consolidation of financials and reporting of actuals and variances, both internally to Finance and to our Technology operators and customers.

Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor u0027s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Finance or Accounting
- Must be proficient with MS Office Suite products - particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Desired Characteristics
- Solid finance and accounting skills, excellent analytical abilities, outstanding process improvement capabilities, strong interpersonal skills, and an ability to adhere to tight deadlines.
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles: accruals, amortization of pre-paid expenses, capitalization of fixed assets
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills preferred.
- Experience working with and mining large amounts of data.
- A commitment to see things through from beginning to end, especially as it relates to problem resolution.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent customer service and relationship building skills.
- A desire to learn about IT operations in a large, media environment.
- Must be proficient with MS Office Suite products - particularly strong Excel technical skills, with some SAP knowledge.
