Position Overview

The purpose of this position is to provide Technical Business Analyst support for KEGI and other partnering districts. Typical Business Analyst support areas include: Managing engineering software development requests, business Initiatives, Tableau development, and project/district support.

This position is based out of our Kiewit Lenexa site located at 8900 Renner Blvd, Lenexa, KS 66219. This is a shared service center in a professional office setting.


  • Lead, review and analyze system specifications
  • Provide updates on team metrics and make lead decisions on scheduling and support
  • Work closely with project management team and stakeholders to achieve on time results
  • Gather requirement specifications, design specifications, test specifications/scripts and user-oriented documentation
  • Create Features and User Stories
  • Create Test Cases
  • Perform Functionality Testing, Integration Testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
  • Identify and resolve problems
  • Work with the Development Team in the development of new functionality:
    • Ensure development/change process is followed
    • Determine/evaluate/analyze business and development requirements
    • Assist with system design solution
    • Create Features and User Stories
    • Assist with user testing and training
  • Ability to coordinate work on multiple projects simultaneously at different stages of the project development process.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communications skills.


  • 5 years of Business Analyst/IT experience
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft office applications
  • Knowledgeable user of Microsoft's Azure DevOps (aka VSTS) or equivalent software
  • Knowledge working in an Agile environment, writing user stories and test cases

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or relevant technical discipline.
  • Project management and requirements gathering/analysis
  • Engineering document and process knowledge
  • General knowledge of engineering and design tools
  • General knowledge in business analysists work related to web development
  • Demonstrates an ability to work independently with limited direction
  • Client focused, results oriented, integrity, entrepreneurial orientation, and decisivenes
