Job Description
We are seeking an experienced mid-level Staff Accountant, who will be responsible for moderately complex accounting activities maintaining a complete and accurate general ledger and the resultant managerial reports and financial statements. This position works under general supervision and will have work reviewed for soundness of judgment and overall adequacy and accuracy.
Responsibilities:
Preparation of monthly financial statements; Participation in month end close, including preparation of Journal entries; Maintenance of general ledger accounts; Tracking of accounts receivables; and Assist with budgeting and forecasting; Balance sheet reconciliations; Journal and Adjusting Journal Entries (Depreciation, Amortization and, Deferrals); Fixed Asset maintenance and depreciation schedules; Assist with budgets, forecasts; Liaison with A/R and A/P for month end close; and Prepare audit work papers
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting; 0-4 years accounting experience; Strong communication skills; Experienced with Excel; Detail and project oriented with strong analytical skills; Able to work in a fast paced environment with changing priorities; SOX compliance and GAAP knowledge is a plus; and CPA or pursuing CPA is a plus
