General Job Requirements

The main responsibilities of the Senior Business Analyst include planning and developing of efficient business and operation systems in support of core organizational functions. They must be able to perform applications programming related activities, such as gathering business requirements, analysis, creating functional and technical documentation

Essential Knowledge, skills and abilities
  • Research and assess the requirements and needs of County departments and agencies, collaborate with Information Systems teams and stakeholders.
  • Meet with decision Makers, system owners, and end users to define business, financial and operational requirements and system goals.
  • Recommend efficient business and operational systems and technology solutions in support of core organizational functions, business processes and policies.
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently with little direction
  • Review and analyze the effectiveness of existing systems and develop detailed functional specifications for improving or further leveraging these systems.
  • Identifies client organization' s strengths and weaknesses and suggested areas for improvement.
  • Advanced ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user - friendly language
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • Advanced training and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to write complex Technical documents
  • Strong team skills with ability to mentor junior team members
