Job Summary:

This position is designed to provide Intern exposure to the energy industry from the perspective of finance for business development and acquisition opportunities. This opportunity will allow for full-time employment (40 hours per week) for a 12-week period during the summer months.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Analyze and evaluate potential investment opportunities and markets

  • Prepare complex financial models and sensitivity analysis used to evaluate potential acquisitions and divestitures

  • Conduct due diligence on investment opportunities, including reviewing past performance, analyzing market trends, preparing competitive analysis and reviewing secondary research

  • Complete research and prepare management reviews, industry overviews, and expected return scenarios

  • Participate with senior management in the investment decision-making process

  • Prepare reports and presentations used for senior management, lenders and third-party investors

  • Reliable, dependable, and predictable attendance is required as are occasional evening and weekend assignments

    Education/Experience/Skills

    Basic Requirements:

    • Current Junior seeking a 2022 bachelor's degree from a highly competitive academic institution

    • Minimum G.P.A. of 3.5


    Preferred Requirements:

    • Prepare and comprehend detailed financial models

    • Effective communication skills - both written and verbal

    • Ability to perform detailed research

    • Finance coursework and basic understanding of financial statements

    • Overnight travel may be required.


    Physical Demands:

    Ability to use standard office equipment such as PC, telephone, calculator, printer, copy and fax machines. Position may require extended work hours on short notice. All work will be performed in an indoor office environment and may require extended periods of sitting, standing and bending and typing/data entry.
