Major responsibilities
- Support accounts payable by filing vendor invoice and disbursements and by matching & filing A/P invoices
- Handle Accounts Receivable tasks: process daily invoices/credit, apply cash receipt, and help with collection of past due balance
- Carry out other related duties and work on special projects as assigned
- Code documents using the proper classification of expenditure codes and accounting codes
- Use various methods to add financial information to journals and ledgers
- Reconcile discrepancies by examining possible sources of disagreement, recreating likely actions, and identifying the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as needed
- Utilize a number of sources to create statements and reports
- Perform general accounting tasks, such as G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, and other ad hoc projects
Requirements
- Be able to prioritize workload and perform in a fast-paced and challenging environment
- Spreadsheet and ERP system experience preferred
- Bank Account Reconciliation experience preferred
- Accounts Receivable (AR) experience highly desired
- Adeptness in Aged Receivables
- Comprehensive knowledge of SAP
- Command of ADP Financial Services
- Deep understanding of account reconciliation
- Excellent data entry skills
- AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred
