Responsibilities

  • Provides technical assistance to managers concerning appropriated and nonappropriated fund budgeting.
  • Ensures the correct production of budgets and their execution including compliance with appropriate regulations, etc. Reviews and analyzes financial reports to identify trends,working capital and the NAFI's financial position.
  • Ensures all individual budgets are coordinated, realistic and support long range planning. Consolidates budgets into a single NAFI package.
  • Evaluates established internal policies, procedures and management controls to ensure adequacy. Monitors compliance. Recommends changes and suggests solutions to managers.
  • Performs analyses of perform a financial statements for proposed ventures; evaluates efficiency and effectiveness of proposals; prepares/reviews return on investment schedules for capital projects

    Requirements

    Conditions of Employment
    • Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.

    Qualifications

    Work experience which includes
    1) interpreting and assessing program financial performance using standard financial management systems;
    2) interpreting balance sheet and profit and loss statement results; and
    3) requiring the application of commercial budgeting techniques.

    Highly Preferred Criteria
    1. 1 year experience with NAF/MWR.
    2. 1 year accounting/budgeting experience.

    Applicants who meet the highly preferred criteria and minimum qualifications will be referred to management for first consideration.
