The Grant Park Music Festival in Chicago, Illinois seeks an Interim Finance Manager, to begin work in late September or early October and serve through January 2021. Hours will be part-time (10 - 15 hours per week) until mid-October, at which point the position will transition to 20 - 30 hours per week through January 2021.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Routine bookkeeping tasks, including bank account reconciliations; recording daily receipts; accounts payable entry; journal entries; accounts/pledges receivable entry and reconciliation; wire, ACH and check payments
  • Bi-weekly payrolls for administrative staff of 11
  • General HR tasks and benefits administration duties


MINIMUM CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Three years non-profit financial administration experience
  • Previous QuickBooks experience
  • Previous payroll administration experience using ADP Workforce Now
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office applications
  • Previous HR/benefits administration experience


IDEAL CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS
  • Previous work experience in a performing arts/culture institution
  • Previous experience with Tessitura CRM system


COMPENSATION/SCHEDULE
  • Commensurate with experience, $30-$40/hr.
  • Start Date: late September or early October, through mutual agreement
  • 10 - 15 hours per week for training/orientation period, transitioning to 20 - 30 hours per week in mid-October through January 2021
  • Currently, due to COVID-19, Festival staff are working remotely. At a future date, the Interim Finance Manager could work from our offices in Chicago's Millennium Park.

Showcased in the city's most spectacular setting, the Festival continues to be the summer gathering place for all of Chicago. The Jay Pritzker Pavilion in Millennium Park is the official home of the Grant Park Music Festival, with free seats available for every concert.

The Festival is led by Artistic Director and Principal Conductor Carlos Kalmar, along with Grant Park Chorus Director Christopher Bell, Grant Park Orchestral Association President and CEO Paul Winberg, and Board Chair Stephen Smith.
