Job Summary
Job Summary
This position's responsibilities are to minimize financial loss due to program violations, fraud and abuse along with analysis of food pricing for the benefit of vendor and participant activities. This includes responsibility for developing and conducting compliance and special fraud audits of (Woman, Infants, and Children) WIC retail vendors who provide WIC approved foods and infant formula to participants. The incumbent in this position, will determine if financial reimbursements paid to WIC vendors are substantiated by financial records requested. The incumbent, in this position, must establish professional working relationships and cooperative audits and investigations with other state and federal agencies, interpret federal regulation, state statutes, and administrative rules, and develop audit rules and procedures.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
This position requires at least 2 years of professional experience in the following areas:
  • Experience conducting investigations, audits or financial analyses
  • Experience using software for data analysis (i.e. Excel, Infoview, SAS, and /or Tableau)
  • Experience interpreting policies, rules, laws, and regulations
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of civil investigatory techniques
  • Experience interpreting and applying federal laws, regulations, policies, state statutes, and rules
  • Experience dealing with angry/upset persons
  • Ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information
  • Experience with teams to improve procedures
