Job Description:
TruQua is actively looking for a Senior Accountant to join our company full-time as part of our Corporate Finance department. This role works with and reports directly to our CFO.

Roles and responsibilities include , but are not limited to the following:
  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including:

Consultants' Utilization quarterly bonuses and disbursementsTruQua'sconsultants' T&E on projectsusing SAP ByDesign
Consultants'reports and time sheets intoSAP ByDesign
M onth and end-year process
Ac counts payable/receivable
C ash receipts
G eneral ledger
P ayroll and utilities
Tr easury, budgeting
C ash forecasting
R evenue and expenditure variance analysis
C apital assets reconciliations
T rust account statement reconciliations
C heck runs
F ixed asset activity
D ebt activity

  • Monitorand analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements
  • Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles
  • Coordinate and complete annual audits
  • Provide recommendations to TruQua's Corporate Finance and Back Office teams
  • Improve systems, procedures andinitiatecorrective actions where/when needed
  • Assign projects and direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracy
  • Meet financial accounting objectives
  • Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions
  • Manage employee reimbursements into Chase Bank corporate account .

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or closely similar field; must have an Accounting background is a ' must '
  • CPA a 'must'
  • Proven working experience as Accounting Manager, Accounting Supervisor, or Finance Manager , preferably with a start-up ; must be comfortable interfacing directly with company stakeholders
  • Strong skills set in Microsoft Office applications;Excel expertise is a 'must'
  • Ability to manipulate large amounts of data
  • Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations
  • Candidate must be able to stay on top of regular Accounting deliverables and respective due dates. This task requires diligent analytical skills with a keen eye for details and compliance
  • Experience working in a Professional Services organization and/or a start-up a strong plus
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Articulate with impeccable verbal and written communication skills in English. Strong & discerning listener
  • Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized
  • A self-starter who can effectively work within a strong team culture, all the while being independent in managing his/her deliverables; highly driven and self-motivated, even when working alone
  • Can roll-up his/her sleeves and be a team player willing to jump in when help is needed, even if tasks aren't on your job description
  • Can work in a fast paced, open, collaborative, passionate and driven environment
  • Ability to manage a direct report, prioritize effectively, network internally to get things done and be accountable for his/her decisions.

Other Information about the role:
  • Location: Chicago area ; candidate must be willing & able to be in our TruQua downtown office Monday - Friday during regular business hours
  • Start date: ASAP
  • Travel: None required
  • Compensation: Base salary rangeof $60-$80,000/annual based on skills & experience level, which will be assessedduring interviews
