Fast-growing technology firm seeks an Accounting Manager to join their Santa Monica team.


Company is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join our growing team. The Accounting Manager will assist in the automation and implementation of various accounting processes as well as be a major contributor in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and yearly financial reports. The ideal candidate will have end-to-end accounting experience with strong knowledge of sophisticated accounting systems. This individual will work closely with the accounting team to prepare general ledger account reconciliations. This candidate will also collect pertinent information in preparation of third party audits and support financial reporting and operations. This is a full-time, salary position and will report directly to VP of Finance and Operations while working from our Headquarters in Santa Monica, CA.

  • Responsible for monthly, quarterly and year-end reconciliations and close procedures
  • Prepare monthly reporting package and related supporting documentation as part of the financial close process in accordance with closing schedule
  • Automate and improve accounting systems and procedures
  • Work with various stakeholders both internally and externally
  • Manage junior staff
  • Coordination with external auditors for requests and inquiries
  • Bill customers in a timely manner by analyzing data in a project management system
  • Working with executives on submitting expenses on corporate credit cards
  • Account analysis and reconciliation on all balance sheet accounts for all entities
  • Active participation and contribution in all required audits, cost reporting and tax filings
  • Assist with controls tracking and prepare support for internal and external auditors

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • 5+ years' experience in accounting or related field
  • Working knowledge and Experience with FinancialForce and Sales Force a plus
  • CPA, CMA or other industry related certification a plus, but not required
  • Perform P&L account variance analysis and support the monthly executive reporting process
  • Prepare monthly/quarterly account closing schedules
