Job Purpose

The position ensures timely and accurate preparation of Local BOD packs and various other reporting to BOD Committees including the Audit Committee - Submission of timely and accurate reporting is critical to success. Additionally, advanced level engagement is required with all sections within Finance, the Company Secretary and Head Office to ensure implementation of good Corporate governance framework. Control and compliance mindset are prerequisite for success.

Key Accountabilities

Fulfill all responsibilities in relation to:

  • Reporting to the Board of Directors and various Committees of the Board on all Financial Matters
  • Coordinate various approval papers for BOD/ Board Committees in coordination with different sections of Finance and other departments of the Bank / Group
  • Owning and controlling all reporting packs for senior management and BOD
  • Single point of contact for all Companies Act reporting compliance related to Finance
  • Impact assessment of new regulations/circulars
  • Drive people agenda for India Finance and control Finance budget

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Reporting to the Board of Directors on Financials
  • Build necessary processes and controls for compliance with new regulations/circulars
  • Serve as finance lead for working with senior leadership and control partners like Legal & Compliance, Technology & Ops teams to deliver best in class finance governance framework
  • Ensure transparency and understanding of financial issues, risks and opportunities and ensure a sound oversight on compliances for Finance
  • Partner with Company Secretary to ensure compliance with Companies Act and rules there under, other applicable regulations and standards, optimize the impact arising from the compliance of various regulations
  • Lead all BOD approval processes so far as these has interactions with Finance
  • Take lead to finalize MD&A / Directors Report of the Bank
  • Drive various projects as may be assigned from time to time
  • Responsible for establishing processes and KPI/ Scorecard for Finance function
  • Maintain Department Operating Instructions, which documents the process followed by the function
  • Maintain continuous lines of communication for all critical regulatory development impacting Finance function
