Position Overview

Job Title: Trade and Transaction Operator - Treasury Issuance Middle Office

Location : BANGALORE

Treasury Debt Issuance is responsible for all term of issuance activities in all markets, currencies and investor groups and aims to raise external funding through dealing and execution in DB issued notes, at the lowest possible cost while ensuring funding sources remain diversified.

The Issuance Middle Office is responsible for the trade capture of all transactions and corresponding hedging instruments issued by the Debt Issuance Desks in Frankfurt, London, New York and APAC region or traded by the SLR Desk. The Trade and Transaction Operator is accountable to ensure timely and accurate enrichment of any life-cycle event in the core Treasury and Middle Office systems to allow downstream processing and settlement.

In addition, the Trade and Transaction Operator is involved in the coordination of new issuances or life-cycle activities and related queries across the various teams in the F2B process. The role owner supports the investigation and resolution of any occurring issues, drives change initiatives to improve the operational landscape and provides subject matter expertise in mandatory or discretionary projects.

Your key responsibilities

• Trade Capture of plain vanilla or structured note and swap transactions in the relevant Treasury systems such as Summit and Kondor+
• Processing of trade amendments or early terminations as part of the life-cycle management of a trade
• Monitoring and processing of rate fix events
• Completeness checks through End of Day checks
• Point of contact for the various Debt Issuance Desks, Treasury Finance and the Treasury counterparties or other operational areas

• Investigation and resolution of inter-system breaks or any other issue addressed to the Issuance Middle Office
• Participation in change initiatives and projects as well as in the implementation of continuous improvements in the front-to-back process flow
• Preparation and submission of meaningful management information and regular review and update of KODs and DTPs

Your skills and experience

Professional skills:

• Commercial or Bank education and/or Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university (or equivalent) with relevant practical experience
• Several years of working experience in Investment Banking Operations preferable in a Trade Capture area
• Basic knowledge in derivate instruments such as swaps
• Basic project management skills for 'ad hoc' projects
• Fluent in English (written and verbal)
• Profound knowledge in MS products especially in Excel, experience in Kondor+ and Summit beneficial
