Job Brief

The Senior Business Analyst (SBA) will be responsible for gathering and understanding the business systems and user needs within specific projects. The SBA will then ensure together with the Product/Project Managers and other key stakeholders that the requirements are accurately translated into system developments. The SBA will be working across a range of projects complex and simple, and should rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish business goals. In addition to this, the SBA will be tasked with analyzing business processes, finding innovative ideas to break patterns and should continuously work towards improving efficiency.

Responsibilities
  • Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, and surveys. Ask the right questions to seek answers to specific problems.
  • Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile requirements, resolve conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.
  • Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers and stay current with requirements. Successfully engage in multiple initiatives across multiple time zones simultaneously.
  • Deliver the following artefacts as needed: Business Requirements Document, User Stories, User Cases, Data Flow Diagram, Swim Lanes, etc)
  • Monitor project progress by tracking different workstream's activities; resolving problems; publishing progress reports; recommending actions.
  • Challenge business units on their assumptions, suggest changes to senior management using data to support your recommendations.
  • Serve as the conduit between different workstreams and collaborate with subject matter experts including technical leads and architects to establish a technical vision and analyze any trade-offs between usability and performance.
  • Interpret, evaluate and interrelate data to create projections for strategic decision-making
  • Constantly be on the lookout for ways to improve monitoring, discover issues and deliver better value to the customer. Define and own key metrics and success parameters; leverage them to define future direction.


Requirements
  • Should have 5+ years of experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • B.E./B. Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology or relevant professional experience
