About the job

The Sr. Financial analyst will assist with financial reporting, monthly forecasting, analysis and annual budgeting for the company. This role will monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports under the supervision of the Finance Director, Financial Planning & Analysis. The Sr. Financial analyst will work closely with team members to report actual results, forecast expenses, explore historical financial data, and drive process improvements.

This position will have the opportunity to:
  • Review and analyze financial statements and reports
  • Track KPIs and prepare financial reports
  • Assist with budgeting and monthly close processes
  • Understand key business drivers
  • Assist project teams with financial guidance
  • Develop financial projections and build financial models
  • Perform research and analysis as required
  • Analyze business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments and interpret financial statements
  • Create and maintain all of the necessary consolidated statements, reports and analysis required in the corporate consolidation process for management
  • Prepare ad-hoc reporting and assist with special projects as requested


Qualifications
  • University degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or a related discipline
  • Accounting designation - CPA, CGA, CMA
  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in Accounting and Finance
  • Sound knowledge and application of accounting standards and principles
  • Sound knowledge of Financial and ERP systems
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, a collaborative style, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels
  • Advanced level user of Microsoft Office programs
  • Can build trust and cultivates new ideas and thinks outside of the box
  • A strategic, analytic thinker with the ability to problem solve
  • Ability to prioritize, organize, and multi-task
  • High degree of attention to detail and accuracy of work
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently
