Job Description:

We are currently recruiting for a detail-oriented, team player to support our organization as Operations Finance Manager. The Operations Finance Manager will be a business partner to the Operations leadership teams and other key stakeholders. Provide reporting, analytics and insights into the financial aspects of the business to influence business decision making during day to day operations, month end, forecasting and planning. Ensure accuracy and clarity of key business drivers and drive accountability. Participate in and lead discussions on process, projects and business improvement. Reporting, analytics and insights created by this role are highly visible and directly support the leadership team.There is flexibility for this role to sit in our Niagara Falls Office or Mississauga Office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monthly Reporting and Analysis: Overall responsibility to provide meaningful analysis and forecasting to Business Leadership. Lead the monthly financial close for area of responsibility, ensuring accurate and timely recognition of results according to US GAAP and internal policies. Provide insights and commentary monthly keeping apprised of business drivers and challenges.Partner with business leaders to challenge their understanding of the variances and to ensure appropriate actions are taken to attain annual plans. Assess impact of month results on future forecast and required actions by teams

  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead budgeting and forecasting of financials for area of responsibility by ensuring consistency with strategic guidelines and constraints. Monitor forecast and challenge spending to ensure budget compliance with business unit owners. Develop and maintain monthly Risk and Opportunities analysis and reporting by leveraging our Sales and Operations Planning processes. Lead development of annual inventory planning and collaborate with business partners on ongoing forecasting of year-end position, FX and Cash flow forecasting

  • Business Partnership: Proactively support business unit managers to provide them with monthly reports and insights. Participate on cross-functional project teams as the finance lead to provide functional leadership in benchmarking, identifying opportunity areas, and tracking improvement and challenging the teams thinking. Required to understand the business and systems to be able to provide ad hoc analysis, commentary, and reporting as requested by senior leaders. Provide insights and work with key stakeholders to develop action plans where necessary

  • Standard Costing/Compliance/Other (Operations Specific): Lead the planning and development of annual standard cost build, support SFA's data collection and analysis of inputs, review/adapt overhead models for changes in business, ensure timely completion and detailed reporting/follow up to support commercial planning process. Review new items and cost change requests throughout the year. DMO Data Steward responsible for business data elements, high level collaboration/issue resolution with EDM team. Hubble Power User - provide training and custom report development/enhancements for Explorer user base. Acquisition support. Oversee annual audit of manufacturing & inventory.

  • New Product Development (Marketing Specific): Develops and leads the NPD financials, evaluate, challenge assumptions and compare to Benchmarks. Perform Post analysis on key NPD's and implement strategies to incorporate learnings in future NPD's. Coordinate the national NPD plan/LE's as part the regular AOP and monthly business review process.


  • Education: University Degreeideally in Finance, Commerce or Accounting
  • Experience: 6-8 years' experience in a similar role preference for experience in a large Consumer Packaged Goods company
  • Qualifications, Certifications or Designations MBA or CPA designation preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly adapt; maintain focus and a high degree of accuracy while working with complex data in an environment of ever-changing deadlines, priorities and requirements
  • Be positive, energetic and comfortable in an open, dynamic and collaborative company culture.
  • Experience with JDE, Hubble, Hyperion an asset.
  • Bilingual (French and English) an asset
