Job Description & Summary
PwC Canada

Our purpose is to build trust in society and solve important problems. Our shared global values help us achieve our purpose and guide our actions. We act with integrity, make a difference, care, work together and reimagine the possible. We work together to provide exceptional industry-focused services to clients from 24 offices across Canada. We're a member of the PwC global network of firms, with more than 236,000 people in 158 countries.

Our culture

Discover a life that works for you with our diverse, inclusive and flexible culture. We pride ourselves on providing equal opportunities for success and development, with leaders focused on ensuring everyone's success. We work together and create an environment where everyone can bring their passions and whole selves to work. Plus, as part of a global network, there's an opportunity for you to work with international teams and clients while you're based in Canada or as part of a secondment.

Accelerate: Put your career into high gear

By working for us during our busiest time of year, you'll hit the ground running. You'll learn as much as you can in a short period of time. You'll have the opportunity to work on challenging, real life technical problems for clients and will gain invaluable on-the-job experience. And, in recognition of your real world skills and experience, you'll be first in line to take on new roles - and the first to enjoy the compensation and benefits that come along with stepping up.

The role

PwC's Assurance professionals understand how businesses work from the inside. With more than 2,500 Assurance professionals in 26 cities across Canada, working closely with public and private companies, we help solve complex business issues faced by management and boards, and serve the public interest by supporting the capital markets system through reliable financial reporting.

Our teams ask questions, test assumptions and evaluate whether companies are reporting information upon which investors and others can rely on. We combine deep technical skills and sector experience to help our clients address the challenges of a rapidly changing environment and strengthen their businesses.

As a Winter Co-op/Winter Intern you'll be put at the heart of understanding how businesses operate. You'll add credibility to the assertions of management about the financial condition and performance of a company, while using leading-edge technology (such as Aura, Halo and Connect). This ensures you're at the forefront of understanding how audits are delivered to clients

Create your future with us

At PwC Canada, you can truly make a difference and create a career that matters to you. We recognize the importance of providing flexible ways to work, so you'll have access to a variety of programs to help you make the most of your working time. You'll also join a team focused on innovation and embracing technology like Google's G Suite and tools for work. We can also help you grow by providing industry-leading opportunities to develop you as a professional, while making sure you have the flexibility to pursue your personal interests. With us, you'll live your potential starting on Day 1 and have a clear career path, with leaders who care about and support your development and many learning and development opportunities on and off the job. Our Enhanced Working Practices really set us apart. We teach rather than tell, developing you through shadowing, lessons learned, team workshops, rounds, observation and feedback.

What we look for:
  • Accounting/Commerce related degrees or appropriate CPA conversion programs
  • Technical strength to deliver quality and value for our clients
  • Examples of leading yourself and others through on-campus and extra-curricular roles
  • People who are authentic, resilient, inclusive and passionate
  • Examples of building relationships which are genuine and rooted in trust
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to articulate new ideas
  • Demonstrate project management skills to handle changing priorities and workload levels
  • An ability to travel to clients
  • Eligibility to work in Canada as a Canadian citizen, Permanent Resident or Post-Grad Work Permit holder

Note: We only allow you to submit one application; however you are able to select a second and third office preference.

Our Application Process

1. Complete your online application and upload your resume or CACEE form and transcript. We recommend using a personal email address when applying.

2. Bring your application to life through an on-demand video interview and games. We're harnessing the power of technology to get to know more about you and your career goals at a time and place convenient for you.

You'll have until 24 hours after the application close date to complete your on-demand video interview and games.

3. If you've wowed us with your on-demand video interview and games you'll be invited to a live interview. It's an opportunity for us to get to know each other better and is the final step of the process.

4. Successfully completing the live interview will lead to an offer to join our team!
