JOB TITLE: Business Analyst


The Business Analyst coordinates the accounting, budgeting and financial information for our client, Ford of Canada ("FOC"). This role is tasked as a point of contact between client and the GTB Account Team, taking responsibility for the day-to-day financial reporting, accounting activities and ad hoc participation in troubleshooting. It's a busy role as the Business Analyst collaborates with the Group Account Director and Media Group Head in preparation of monthly media and production budget and expenditure summaries, i.e. Accrual/Prepaid reports, Budget Forecasts, assists in preparation of internal business plans and semi-annual mini-audits. This is a great opportunity for someone for a recent graduate with an internship under their belts.

You will...
  • Assist in the preparation of a comprehensive Budget Forecast report for FOC by specific division, medium and nameplate.
  • Analyze costs and job progression to report accruals to FOC.
  • Organize supporting test samples and documentation for semi-annual mini-audit.
  • Provide timely cost forecast and updates as deemed necessary.
  • Assist with the preparation annual budgets.
  • Prepare and analyze preliminary and final year end reports.
  • Update FOC chart of account codes and Agency internal tracking numbers in preparation of each new budget year.
  • React to internal and external inquiries regarding billing consistent with FOC/GTB Agreement.
  • Educate new staff members in the intricacies of FOC budgeting systems, including estimating and billing procedures.
  • Advise FOC and Account Team on policy compliance issues with Ford//GTB Agreement.
  • Reconcile approved estimates and billings and resolve discrepancies.

You have...
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • 6 months - 1 year experience in BA or similar role.
  • Have physical and mental requirements to meet the above listed job responsibilities.
