Job summary: A growing Chatham-Kent business is looking to add a full-time Finance Manager to their finance department. Job duties will include:
  • Reviewing Canadian and U.S. bank accounts
  • Reviewing and tracking Visa account and recording activity
  • Recording banking activity in QuickBooks
  • Recording EFT customer payments in QuickBooks
  • Monitoring bank for cash transfers
  • Submitting credit applications for vendors
  • Monitoring accounts receivable and collections
  • Monitoring outstanding purchase orders in QuickBooks
  • Job costing
  • Overseeing a staff of two
  • Reviewing payroll and signing cheques
  • Reconciliation of Canadian and U.S. bank accounts
  • Reconciliation of Visa account, collecting receipts, and recording in QuickBooks
  • Financial analysis and presentation at a monthly meeting with department managers
  • Tracking and recording commissions
  • Preparing and submitting quarterly financial information to the bank
  • Preparing year-end account reconciliations

  • At least five years of accounting/finance experience
  • At least three years of supervisory/managerial experience, preferably with employee development experience
  • Degree in accounting, finance, or business
  • CPA designation is preferred
  • QuickBooks experience is ideal
