Join the momentum.We are currently seeking a Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis to join our Finance team for a one year term beginning October, 2020. MNP is a leading national accounting, tax and business consulting firm in Canada. Providing strategic financial leadership throughout the firm, our Finance team supports services to achieve MNP's business objectives. We deliver transaction processing, reporting and analytics to support all aspects of the firm and manage all financial activities with expertise and precision.


Performance Expectations
  • Work collaboratively with senior leaders to provide insightful analysis that is action-oriented and aligned with strategic objectives
  • Focus on continuous innovation, utilizing analytical tools to provide data drive insights
  • Prepare management reports that contain Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) of moderate and advanced complexity
  • Gather strategic insights from financial and operational data and present findings to business leaders
  • Develop strong working relationships with senior leaders including clients and services leaders in order to support their initiatives and enable effective decision making
  • Manage projects from requirements gathering through to completion
  • Contribute to MNP's operational planning efforts including the budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Develop and document processes while incorporating Budget & Finance best practices
  • Provide support to Regional Managing Partners, Service Line Leaders and Executives
  • Gain a solid understanding of systems to support analysis and reporting on a monthly, quarterly and ad hoc basis
  • Contribute within a team environment and demonstrate leadership abilities
  • Ability to hit the ground running and quickly begin to deliver value to the business
  • Develop a thorough understanding of MNP's services, businesses and industry
  • Contribute to the development of new ideas and approaches to improve work processes

  • Completion of a Masters in Business Administration, Business Analytics or Economics, or a Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Business Analytics or Commerce coupled with a professional accounting designation is preferred
  • A minimum of five (5) to seven (7) years of related experience working in progressive financial analysis roles
  • Advanced experience with KPI/report development/analysis
  • Experience with budgeting and strategic planning
  • Intermediate to advanced system application skills
  • Strong computer literacy including effective working skills with Tableau or Power BI, EDW, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience working with One Stream/Hyperion, and Dun & Bradstreet is considered an asset
  • Experience working in a Professional Services environment is considered an asset
