Job Description & Summary

PwC Canada

Our purpose is to build trust in society and solve important problems. Our shared global values help us achieve our purpose and guide our actions. We act with integrity, make a difference, care, work together and reimagine the possible. We work together to provide exceptional industry-focused services to clients from 24 offices across Canada. We're a member of the PwC global network of firms, with more than 276,000 people in 157 countries.

Our culture

Discover a life that works for you with our diverse, inclusive and flexible culture. We pride ourselves on providing equal opportunities and support for everyone to achieve success and to develop. We work together and create an environment where everyone can bring their passions and whole selves to work. Plus, as part of a global network, there's an opportunity for you to work with international teams and clients while you're based in Canada.

The role

Risk and regulatory requirements have never been higher on the boardroom agenda. Our Risk Assurance professionals help organizations effectively manage their risks and increasingly complex regulatory requirements. We help clients demonstrate that, whatever the threat, there's a plan in place to deal with and mitigate that risk.

As an associate working towards your CPA designation, you'll complete a three-year Risk Assurance Services CPA program, based on rotational placements across our business groups for three years. This ensures exposure to key areas of our risk assurance services practice and a wide variety of projects and assignments to actively work on.

You will gain exposure to the following areas within Risk Assurance Services:

  • Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP): Assist companies to develop and maintain strong ERP controls which allow them to get the best performance and value from their ERP investments.
  • Performance Assurance: Provide clients with custom, end-to-end solutions that help them build trust and provide transparency to their internal and external stakeholders, helping them create a business that their customers, partners and investors can trust.
  • Internal Audit: Use the foundational attributes of internal audit to help lift clients' performance against a broad spectrum of risks. Gain functional and industry insights, work on large multinational companies, and help clients enhance their internal audit function by providing more value-added insights to the business.
  • Data Analysis: Help clients manage their data better and feel confident that the information generated from their business data is reliable and can help them make the right business decisions.

Once you've completed the program, you'll have the opportunity to align yourself with one of the areas of the Risk Assurance Services practice.

Create your future with us

With a focus on continual learning, you'll have the opportunity to improve your digital skills and use industry-leading tools in data visualization, automation and analysis. We can also help you grow by providing opportunities to develop as a professional, while making sure you have the flexibility to pursue your personal interests.
